چکیده

Leukoaraiosis is a neurological imaging in the periventricular area and centrum semiovale. This condition occurs due to abnormalities small blood vessels brain that lead hypoxia. It often observed patients with ischemic stroke accompanied by risk factors for hyperlipidemia. study aimed evaluate correlation between degree of leukoaraiosis hyperlipidemia post-ischemic patients. A cross-sectional retrospectively was conducted on who underwent MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) T2 FLAIR (fluid-attenuated inversion recovery) sequence at Department Radiology, Dr. Sardjito General Hospital, Yogyakarta, from January 2021 March 2022. total 36 were involved this study. The patient examined MRI. Degree determined based Fazekas classification. Serum cholesterol, HDL (high-density lipoprotein), LDL (low-density triglyceride levels then examined. data obtained analyzed using Spearman test. positive level (p = 0.042; r 0.292) age (p= 0.004; 0.464). However, no HDL, (p>0.05). In conclusion, correlated serum

Correlation between cerebellar metabolism and post-stroke depression in patients with ischemic stroke

The neurochemical changes that occur in the brain of patients with post-stroke depression (PSD) are not fully understood. This study aims to explore the correlation between cerebellar metabolism changes and PSD using proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS). Participants were assigned to 3 groups: 60 patients with PSD (PSD group), 60 stroke patients without depression (NOPSD group), and ...

Correlation Between Cannabidiol-Induced Reduction of Infarct Volume and Inflammatory Factors Expression in Ischemic Stroke Model

Introduction: Recent studies demonstrated that cannabidiol had neuroprotective property. Thereis some evidence about effective role of cannabidiol in reducing ischemic damages. It has been reported that infarct size is influenced by various factors after MCAO, including inflammatory factors. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of cannabidiol on infarction volume and correlat...

Leukoaraiosis and ventricular enlargement in patients with ischemic stroke.

We studied the relationship between ventricular size and nonspecific periventricular lucency on computed tomograms (leukoaraiosis) in 192 patients with ischemic stroke. Leukoaraiosis did not occur in 21 patients less than 50 years of age; ventricular size could not be measured in an additional 29. Leukoaraiosis was graded from 0 to 4 on a semiquantitative scale; bicaudate, frontal horn, and pos...
